In Behind Every Lie, Eve Hansen is in a hospital in Seattle having been struck by lightning and is told that her mother has been murdered. She quickly becomes a suspect as she was found near her mother Kat’s home soon after the murder occurred. Eve has no memory of the incident and seeks the truth. Could she be the murderer? Her search leads her to London where family secrets are uncovered. In alternating storylines between Eve in the present and Kat in the past, this page-turning story unfolds as the reasons behind the lies are revealed.
This is a well-written book that moves quickly and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s dark, it’s tense, it’s clever.
